TIAA-CREF

No matter where you are in life - just getting started or planning for retirement - a session with our TIAA consultation can help you create a plan for your goals. you'll get answers to these questions and more: 

  • Am I invested in the right mix of investments to help meet my goals? 

  • Am I saving enough to create the retirement income I need?

  • How do I take income from my retirement account once I stop working? 

After 2 continuous years of full and part-time service (at least 20 hours/week or teach 16 units per academic year), you are eligible to contribute towards PLNU's defined contribution retirement plan through TIAA-CREF. PLNU contributes a 3% base contribution with no required employee contribution. In addition, PLNU will match 100% up to 5% of an employee's voluntary contribution. The total possible contribution by PLNU is 8%. Contact Human Resources for questions concerning PLNU's defined and supplemental retirement plans.

We understand that legal and financial matters can be overwhelming at times. And that’s why we’re here to help. With the Employee Assistance Program, benefit eligible employees and their household have access to *legal, **financial and identity theft professionals who can help resolve issues and concerns - resourcesforliving.com

*Services must be realted to the employee and eligible household members. Work-related issues are not covered. 

**This service also provides access to tax professionals. Aetna's tax team can even prepare personal income tax return at a discounted rate.
